On this album I played all the instruments except for some fine cello parts by Stephanie Winters and some amazing vocalizations by Walter Parks (then of The Nudes). I brought in many fantastic friends from the Eddie's Attic and Asheville, NC music scenes to sing with me doing harmony and duet chores. Even though i recorded this in Atlanta at Dede Vogt's Sound and Fury Studio it is a very Austin, TX influenced project. I was hanging out in Austin a lot at my friend Patrice Sullivan's compound (The Pharm) and wrote many of the songs in her kitchen while my friend Thor was in his quarters painting. Thor is a renowned Austin drummer and painter and he provided one of his paintings for the inside/disc art for the package. The photos were taken at The Pharm and I borrow a guitar from Tom Freund (another frequent Pharm visitor) for the photo shoot.
