Home Away From Home
San Antonio Mountain
San Luis Valley
"...and there's a big volcano down in Antonito...named after my father and I sure like that..."
The Beautiful Valley...from The Other Side
The Awesome San Luis Valley...Southern Colorado.
My favorite place on planet earth.
Mystic Hot Springs
Monroe UT
This primitive and laid back hot springs resort in the beautiful Sevier Valley is funky and extremely healing. This water is like none I've ever soaked in...and it backs up to some truly wild BLM land. They also have concerts indoors and on an outdoor stage. I Perform here whenever I can and stay as long as possible. They have become great friends.
Helio House
Taos NM
Well technically It's Tres Piedras. Jill and Michael have a BEAUTIFUL EarthShip for rent just past the Rio Grand Gorge Bridge about 20 minutes from town and they take awesome care of their guests. I highly recommend them and the experience of staying in a beautifully done EarthShip.
Taos Chamber Of Commerce - Links Galore For Visiting Taos
If you need to get away Taos is a great spot. There are a number of hotels, motels and rental properties sprinkled around Taos from the downtown area to the outskirts. Lots of great places to eat and drink and to hear music.
This is a good link for checking out maps, hotels, restaurants, etc in Taos.

There's a spot out in the desert near the Rio Grande Gorge that has Earthships for rent. Earthships are houses built into the side of a hill run on self sustaining electrical and plumbing systems. You would be fairly removed out there, but still only a 25 minute drive to town. It's incredibly peaceful. There's a rental out there owned by friends of mine called the Helio House. See the link in this section for them.
My friend Jenny Bird (singer-songwriter) also has a place she rents out that's quite nice:

Another option is about an 1.25hr away from Taos called Ojo Caliente. It's a hot springs resort. Very peaceful, Very healing. the prices there have risen steadily over the years, though, as they've made a lot of improvements. See the link in this section.
Alamosa Colorado
Alamosa CO
I lived here for several years and although i currently live in Chicago...and adore it...I still think of this place and the San Luis Valley as home. I look forward to retuning.
Wakpamni Bed & Breakfast
Pine Ridge SD
Believe it or not there is a B&B on the Pine Ridge Rez. It's a family that has been leasing/ranching there for years. They have a full resource center worth of books about the Tribe and the history of the area. I've stayed there a couple times and loved it.
A Grand Old River
"Sneaking Past Taos"
The Rio Grande River, Gorge and Bridge...just outside of Taos. Strong spirits down in there. I ride my bike out there regularly to pray and offer my respects.
Amor de Mar
Montezuma Costa Rica
Heaven. But we don't recommend it, as the pressure of choosing between the hammock in the shade vs. the sun can be oh-so-stressful. Be sure to go for the ceviche at el Sano Banano in town for lunch (you will dream of it when you come home), and Playa de los Artistas for dinner (you will dream of it while you're still there). .Montezuma, Costa Rica.
Ojo Caliente
Ojo Calienta NM
One of the oldest health resorts in North America, Ojo Caliente Mineral Springs is the only natural hot springs in the world with four geothermal mineral waters. Considered sacred by the ancestors of today's Tewa People. They built their Pueblo overlooking the springs. It's said that Geronimo and Cochise also made visits to this place. Me, too...it's been a regular stop for me for running in the desert offering prayer and soaking in the waters. Also my amazing friend Nick Wimmet is the mastermind behind the contol systems that help run the place.
Dr. Wilkinson's Hot Springs Resort
Calistoga CA
The mud bath is not to be missed.
En Frente Arte
Ronda Spain
Oh yeah. Sunday brunches in Spain...doing my wash in the village fountain...if I only had my way. Papa loved Ronda, too.
