Notes From the Road

6-14-07 Barely Survived

Taken by Tarek Joseph who is also in the photo at about 4:30am in downtown Ann Arbor

I had so much fun in Ann Arbor and Chicago that I barely survived....thanks to Tarek Joseph and the folks in Ann Arbor (see accompanying photo taken in downtown Ann Arbor at 4:30am after an evening out at Eve's Wine Bar) also my dearest buddy Ellis Paul, Joe Roth and the gang in Chicago.

Neale Eckstein has mastered the album I produced for Marty Funmaker so that's moving right along. We're going to call it Blue Moon Waltz. I'm really having fun working construction with Roger Romero in Taos when I'm not on the road gigging. I'm the only non-Hispanic on the crew and they call me the Vato (Dude). I get treated very well and have learned to use the dump truck, the backhoe and the front loader. This is exciting stuff.

Keep an eye on your reps in Washington...they're working on energy policy right now and the lobbyists are getting squirrely. You might want to make a couple e-mails/phone calls. Wishing you peace. See you out there. DonCon

Listening to "Mysterious Light" and wondered when you're going to make it back to the West Coast again. Would love to see you at Don Quixote's (3 miles from Henfling's) in Central Coast California.

Hey Don-

I'm 1/2 way thru the MFA program in Film & Theatre at UNO!

Let us know when you'll be in the New Orleans/Baton Rouge area and when the new album is released!

Hi Don,

I'm on the board with Growing Hope and wanted to thank you for your great concert last week.  My husband and I are Ark addicts but somehow have missed you--NO MORE!  We bought your Extremely Live cd and have already worn the grooves outta it, so we need a few more.  thanks for the great music, fun and peaceful vibes.  Patty
