Had a fantastic week in Colorado staying and working with one of my best friends, Bill Flanigan. Played a crazy gig with Take The Wheel drummer John Michel who sang and played guitar way better than any drummer should. John kept tossing out tunes by Steely Dan, Yes, Dave Mason, etc. Yow! Glad I got some practice time in on my guitar before that gig. I also got to play electric guitar with dear friend Kort McCumber and his band McCumberland Gap at the Carbondale Mountain Fair. Kort and band rocked the joint.
The Lugnuts returned to the Taos Inn for our first Sunday of the month series and had Patrick Turnmire (drums and percussion) filling in for Jimmy Stadler who was out of town. Patrick plays with me in the jazz/latin/blues trio "Lewis, DonCon and Turnmire". He did such a great job that he has probably become a permanent Lugnut. His family will most likely not approve... because of the name. Our special guest artists at that show were Jennifer Peterson and her awesome husband Randy who were in town from Chicago; and also Melissa Crabtree... an old friend from my road years who is a long time resident of Taos. Good times were had by all.

The calendar has been updated with more performances for the fall and things continue to evolve here in the high desert mountains as the garden rages and the mountain biking continues to be all uphill, all the time.  Peace on every one of you. DonCon
