8-23-11 Summer Holding On and Back to Oklahoma I Go
Glorious summertime is still hanging on in the high desert and the garden is pouring out in all directions. Got some great rains recently. Life is good. Heading back to Oklahoma for the second time this summer and that always makes me very happy since it is my second home in many ways. Stops this trip will include Goldsby (Norman), Tulsa, El Reno and Amarillo. I'm also going to swing by OK City Saturday (8-27-11) on my way to Amarillo and home to Taos to see my beloved friend Tom Lee's work in a show called "Still- A Retrospective of the Work of Tom Lee" at the IAO Gallery then off the Blue Door to catch my buddy Terry Buffalo Ware's CD Release show later that night. He has an uber cool new guitar instrumental album called Reverb Babylon. I love Terry and I love this new album. When I get back home The Two Dons (or Los Dons ... or The Dons) will be reviving their multi-instrumental song swapping mayhem. The Dons I speak of are myself and the Honorable Reverend Don Richmond, my dear pal from Alamosa Colorado. I love Don Richmond's new album(s), too. We'll be doing shows in Taos NM and Del Norte, Co during the first weekend of September. Hope you are all having a lovely time wherever you may be and that the winds of change are blowing something positive in your direction. Peace on us all.
