12-10-05...Letter to Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist Regarding Spending, Tax Cuts and Incentives
I'm sorry to say, but it seems more and more that the Republican leadership is falling far out of touch with the needs of the majority of Americans. I appreciate the complexities of the job you all have to do but I could hardly be more disappointed in the policy making currently coming from the majorities in the House and the Senate regarding spending, tax cuts and incentives for wealthy Americans and Corporations that just don't seem justified under the circumstances, as well as security issues, gun control, Iraq and more. I know there are complexities in all these issues but the majority of Americans seem to me to be leading entirely different lives from the Americans you seem to be making policy for in this Republican led Congress. I have seen very little lately that would dissuade me from voting against Republican office holders across the board if this is what I can expect as a taxpayer and as an American.   Thank you for listening to my two cents worth and I wish you would take a different course of action as one of my leaders in Congress.                                        Sincerely, Don Conoscenti / Chicago IL  12-10-05
